The words of the CEO on the introductory page of his report established the verbal and visual tone for the document.
“We are creating a transformative model of healthcare shaped by community wisdom, shared purpose, and an unwavering commitment to equity.”
As the readership is diverse the report is rich in information; from service descriptions, to statistics, to images that illustrate the diversity of programmes that the organisation delivers. The family focus reflects the underling holistic approach to healthcare delivery.
The graphic on the cover represents the integration of services and the unity of community and family.
The blue strands embody the four pillars of Tongan culture: faka’apa'apa (respect), anga fakatokilalo (humility), tauhi vā (healthy relationships),and mamahi'i me’a (loyalty/passion).
We entered the cover of the Annual Report in the Australasian Reporting Awards.
It won against all-comers, including large public and private sector organisations, in a hotly contested category.
Congrats to the design team and the Tongan Health Society.
The judges commented
“The cover features a beautifully executed graphic that conveys a strong, embedded meaning clearly articulated on the inside front cover: ‘When all hands work together, the future is transformed.’ The results are thoughtful and distinctive front and back covers with broad stakeholder appeal, and a publication that feels considered from beginning to end.“
