Ahi Kōmau
Ahi Kōmau is about developing communities through working with whānau, to release their potential to develop their whenua, for housing, employment, wealth opportunities and for their wellbeing. Ahi Kōmau’s skills, networks and experience enable them to identify opportunities, and then work with whānau to clarify their goals, identify schemes for the development of their whenua and resources.
The meaning of Ahi Kōmau is a smouldering fire, which embodies the sentiments that the home fire is always lit and burning. This is brought to life through a bespoke identity with layers of meaning. The black upward pointing triangle represents a roof, the red and yellow represent a fire and the black downward pointing triangle represents land. The combined shapes form a diamond, bringing to mind love, strength and preciousness.
