The Youtube pre-roll ad that broke me

To get to the good stuff (cat videos and fail compilations), Youtube pre-roll ads are a necessary evil. The degree of difficulty in creating a successful Youtube ad is so great, they deserve a category at Cannes. Therefore, it is with one part shame and three parts admiration that I admit to playing a full length pre-roll Youtube commercial this week. Cadbury Dairy Milk Jaffas ad won me over. I let that sucker play all the way through. I was mesmerised by the bouncing jaffas and sploshing chocolate. It didn’t stop there either, after watching it, I replayed it, got my phone out, opened up Soundhound and shared the music track with my network. Congrats Cadbury. You broke me, I watched AND shared your damn commercial. Now where’s my chocolate?
